A Young Woman’s Guide To Breast Surgery

This part of the site is designed to help reassure young women who have found a lump in their breasts and need to have breast surgery. The information on this site is not intended to replace a medical diagnosis so if you have any personal concerns, please visit your GP.

It’s written by a young woman who has had many breast lumps and countless surgeries, it’s aimed at young women between the ages of 16-25 who use the UK’s NHS service but anyone can refer to it, even boys! The author wants young women to have the information in a user-friendly style that she didn’t have when she was a teen.

Please note that bcpals forums are not suitable for those with benign breast lumps but women with phyllodes and women diagnosed at high genetic risk of breast cancer are welcome to join.
